Welcome to Toukley Denture Clinic—a family-owned and operated denture clinic serving local communities for over five decades. Originally founded as Ring Dental Laboratories in 1965 by Jim's parents in Sydney as a commercial dental lab. In 1972, Jim started working with Chris as his apprentice and became a technician by 1976. Jim earned his Dental Prosthetist License in 1980 which allowed him to serve the public directly. As Jim's family began to expand and Chris's health declined the business relocated to Toukley in 1983. In 1990, Chris and Beryl retired and their son Jim and his wife Jenny assumed ownership.
Since this transition, we have focused on fostering a strong patient-centered approach. As an independent clinic, we have the freedom to provide personalised care and take pride in the meaningful connections we forge with our patients.

Meet Our Team
Jim (Prosthetist) & Jenny (Practice Manager)
We live by the notion "work to Live, don't Live to work" and we do just that—live. We are both avid travellers, spending the majority of our adventures cruising and road tripping throughout Australia, Europe, and North America. We spent the best part of the 1990s + 2000s involved with the Scouting movement; however, we have moved on to a more relaxed Travel Club scene, especially Flynn’s Beach, Port Macquarie and Denarau Island, Fiji. When we do have some down time at home, we enjoy our swimming pool, BBQs with friends and family, and of course streaming Netflix, Disney+, etc.
Kyrah (Office Manager / Asst. Dental Technician)
Our daughter, Kyrah, joined the team in mid-2006. Kyrah has a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies, Classical Languages, and Linguistics. She enjoys travelling with her housemate/bestie Hannah. They have travelled extensively through Europe and North America soaking in the local languages, cultures, and architecture. Kyrah and Hannah love to explore their academic interests in world history, epistemology, theological deconstruction, earth sciences, and international politics.
Hannah (Administration)
Hannah started working with us mid-2014. She is Kyrah's housemate, bestie from high school, and member of the family. Hannah is an artist who enjoys graphite and ball point sketching as well as working with acrylic paints, and watercolour pencils; she has several works on display in the office.
Hannah enjoys watching and learning from debunking videos pulling apart conspiracy theories, junk science, beauty hacks, etc. Due medical conditions, Hannah works remotely from home where she is also a stay-at-home cat mother (along with Kyrah) to three beautiful kitties: Impah, Mipha, and Zorah.
Ash (Receptionist)
Ash joined the team in mid-2024 after she was left high and dry by her previous employer from whom she delivered our lunches for a few years. As the first member of the team who is not related Ash has fast become a part of the TDC family. Ash is a big foodie and loves baking, which is great for us as she brings in treats for morning tea. Ash is dedicated to her family and friends; she loves hanging out with them, especially her nephew and niece. Footy (NRL) and soccer are her go-to TV sports, while RuPaul’s Drag Race is her favourite show to binge watch. Like all of us, Ash enjoys adventuring with family and friends, especially camping and 4WDing.
